Exterior lighting changes how a house looks at night and how safe it feels every time you come home in the dark. Done well, it's invisible — you just see the house glowing softly. Done poorly, it's a string of mismatched fixtures that flicker, fail in a year, or trip breakers every time it rains.
Most of our exterior work falls into three categories. First, façade and soffit lighting — continuous LED fixtures tucked under the soffit line that wash the front of the house with even, warm light. The fixtures are usually invisible from the street; only the effect shows. We do brick estates, traditional Southern colonials, and modern farmhouse builds across Greenville and Spartanburg.
Second, landscape lighting — directional spotlights aimed at trees, architectural features, and walkways. We use low-voltage transformers properly sized to the load, and run wiring through schedule-40 PVC where it crosses driveways and pavers.
Third, security lighting — motion-triggered floodlights at corners of the house, garage entries, and detached structures. We wire to dedicated circuits, not the bathroom GFCI, so a tripped breaker upstairs doesn't kill the security setup outside.
Yes. We use IP65 or better-rated fixtures, weatherproof junction boxes, and run wiring in conduit where exposed. Everything is rated for South Carolina humidity and freezing rain.
Yes — both. Photocells turn lights on at dusk automatically, timers turn them off at a set hour (like 11 PM). We can also do app-controlled if you want.
We don't install seasonal lighting itself, but we install dedicated outdoor outlets with covers — controlled by an interior switch — so you can plug in your own holiday lights without running extension cords through windows.
